The NIWFA Child Protection Policy was officially launched on Tuesday, 7th June 2011 at Irish Football Association Headquarters at Windsor Avenue.
Fivemiletown Girls’ Soccer Day Camp
Seventeen girls recently attended a Irish FA Soccer Day Camp at Fivemiletown College in County Tyrone. The day was supported by the Active Communities Coach Ruth Brown, Mid Ulster Ladies Coach Adele Gillespie and Northern Ireland international Simone Magill.
Loughgall 1 - 5 Mid Ulster
Wednesday night saw a break from League action for the Mid Ulster Girls as they travelled to Loughgall for a League Cup match.
NIWFA and Glentoran Belfast United players head to Moldova to complete charity work
Gail Macklin and Nadene Caldwell head off week beginning 4th July 2011 to Moldova with Athletes in Action to help provide sporting activities to deprived children in orphanages in Moldova.
Cookstown Day Camp
Forty three girls aged between 6 and 17 years of age attended the Irish FA Soccer Day Camp in Cookstown on Friday 1st July. Hosted at Mid Ulster Sports Arena in conjunction with the Active Communities programme in Cookstown/Dungannon/Magherafelt the day proved to be a huge success. Lending their support to the camp were members of the local women's football team Mid Ulster Ladies, including two of their international players, Simone Magill and Hayley O'Donnell.
Referees Course
Andy Hall has recently met with Alan Snoddy to discuss a referees course in the Down area in September 2011.
