Northern Ireland prepare for Spanish showdown

THE Northern Ireland international women’s team, captained by Stacey Hall and managed by Alfie Wylie, will meet for international duty on Sunday to prepare for their forthcoming match against Spain on Wednesday at Newry Showgrounds (kick off 7.45pm)

THE Northern Ireland international women’s team, captained by Stacey Hall and managed by Alfie Wylie, will meet for international duty on Sunday to prepare for their forthcoming match against Spain on Wednesday at Newry Showgrounds (kick off 7.45pm).

This will be the team’s third home game in the qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Championship.

The last home match against England was a fantastic occasion for women’s football in Northern Ireland with over 2,000 spectators cheering the girls on. The supporters produced a great atmosphere for the girls and it is hope the same can be created on Wednesday at Newry Showgrounds.

Match admission is £5 for adults and £3 concessions. All paying spectators will get a complimentary match programme on entry. Members of the Junior Supporters and the Official Supporters Scheme will get into the match for free.
