The NIWFA would like to apologise to Rhoda Cassidy Manager of Cliftonville Ladies FC for comments which were inadvertently attributed to her in a recent football write up.
The following statement appeared
“We needed this,” reflected Cliftonville manager Rhoda Cassidy. “Failing to hold on for the league crown and then missing out on promotion were bitter blows for us. We had hoped to win our way back to the Premiership this season. It didn’t happen and the winning of the Cup has lifted our spirits. We are looking forward to a new campaign already.”
The NIWFA would like to clarify that these were comments were actually made by Cliftonville Chairperson Gerard Lawlor.
The article on the NIWFA website has been amended and once again the NIWFA apologise for any distress caused to Rhoda
