Carnmoney FDC Manager Steven Lowry remarked,
“This was our first girls-only Soccer Camp and it was a great success. All the girls really benefited from the opportunity to learn new techniques and develop existing skills. The Camp would not have been a success without the help and assistance of the Irish FA staff and coaches, so a big thank-you to Clare, Sara & Jackie and also to current Northern Ireland International Alison Smyth who gave up her time to come along to meet the girls and autograph their footballs”.
“We aim to build on this Camp by co-ordinating a series of Soccer Camps during future school holidays. The Camps will cater for girls between 6-16 years and will be structured to meet the needs of all, from beginners through to elite players. We are fortunate that we have excellent indoor and outdoor facilities available to us within the village of Carnmoney which ensure that our Camps can proceed whatever the weather!”
“As with this Camp the numbers will be strictly limited to allow the girls to maximise their learning potential and effectively receive one-to-one coaching over a 3 or 4 day period”.

One of the participants, Rebecca commented,
“I had a really good time and I learnt a lot of new football skills. I really enjoyed the SAQ sessions and learning from my coach Clare.”
