The team got to meet the globes strongest athletes as well as Celebrity Big Brother winner and cage fighter Alex Reid. Gladiator Caroline Pearce aka “ICE” was also in attendance.
Head Coach of 1st Bangor, Joe Houston said “This has been fantastic for the girls. We cannot express how grateful we are to Glenn for inviting us here today. Glenn realizes how important it is to give something back to sport and has identified how under represented women are in sport at local level. He is therefore kindly sponsoring our home strip for next season. This is a marvelous opportunity to launch the new strip. It is now our job to try and attract more players to the club and give it a real community feel. We have loads of activities planned for the off season so watch this space. Alex Reid even asked me for a couple of tickets for our Cup Final against Derry City on Wednesday night, said he and Katy would try and get to it!”
