U15 Scotland 2-1 Northern Ireland

14/4/10 Loch Inch, Scotland

After the disappointment of the first game the Northern Ireland side started this game brightly creating a lot of chances early on which put Scotland on the back foot. In the twenty third minute the Northern Ireland side took the lead through a Katelyn McKane strike which made it 1 nil to Northern Ireland. As the Northern Ireland side dominated possession the Scottish side were lucky to be going in at half time only one nil down.

Northern Ireland came out in the second half once again dominating possession, however a lapse of concentration 30 yards from goal allowed the Scottish captain to produce a wonder strike and level the score at one all. The goal gave the Scottish side a huge lift and they began to dominate possession of the game. The Scottish side got a corner in the last five minutes of the game, which took a deflection of an N Ireland player and ended up in the back of the net, the score 2 to 1 Scotland. In the dying moments the N Ireland side broke with pace and released Katelyn McKane on a one on one with the Scottish goalkeeper, however Katelyn was unfortunate to see her shot hit the post, just at that the whistle was blown for fulltime.
