As you are all aware from our various meetings and my Club e-mails the NIWFA have been working very closely with the Marketing and Communications Department at the Irish FA to obtain advice on sponsorship and also how to better promote womens football.
Geoff Wilson, the Head of Marketing and Communications at the IFA, has now approached the committee to ask all affiliated clubs clubs if they would be willing to nominate any of their players with a view to helping the Association promote Women’s and mens football .
The intention would be that players would have their pictures taken to promote for example new team kits or perhaps to promote new league/cup/match sponsors.
These photos would then be distributed to various newspapers and of course used on the NIWFA and IFA websites to promote women’s (and men’s) leagues, cup competitions etc.
If any of your players would be interested in helping the Association, please contact Geoff at gwilson@irishfa.com. It would be useful if you could email Geoff a passport type picture as well
At this stage we are only asking for interest to be shown – (it is likely only a small percentage will actually be used in the PR photographs during the year).
Yours in Sport
