Match Report

In a first half Louise McAllister for Limavady was the difference between the teams with a glorious hat trick and another sweet strike from Rebekah McMullan wiped out the Blackieville opening goal from Finnoula Conlon.

At half time the visitors lead 4-1 and looked to be in total control.

However one thing you cant do is write off Blackieville!

Joe Doherty (Limavady Manager) would have been enjoying the game until the last 8 minutest when Seaneen Kane fired home, followed two minutes later with a great goal from Niamh Martin to bring the score back to 4-3 in Limavady’s favour.

And to compound Joe’s woes in the final minute the Blackieville pressure paid off when Siobhan Bell fired home a free kick into the bottom corner to level the game at 4-4.

Division one newcomers Limavady will feel bad losing a three goal lead whilst the draw was celebrated like a victory by the Blackieville team.

Both teams can be proud to have taken part in a great competitive game of football. We can’t wait until the return match for another thriller.
